The Deep Blue Sea

Just a love like any other,
we didn’t plan, we didn’t think.
Never dreamt about the danger,
that one day our ship could sink:
To the bottom of the sea…

The captain, drunk inside his cabin,
no-one around to take his place.
Out of the dark came an iceberg,
Now we’ve sunk without a trace:
To the bottom of the sea…

No life-boats and no life-line
no alarm, not a sound.
Going deeper and deeper,
We’re going down, down, down:
To the bottom of the sea…
The deep blue sea, the deep blue sea.

Yet the world just keeps on turning,
since the dawn of history.
It goes round and keeps repeating,
And like Atlantis you’ll find me:
At the bottom of the sea…

So cold on the ocean floor,
& still ice floats to the top.
It’s the miracle of life,
so why does ours have to stop:
At the bottom of the sea…

Thermal vents and unknown treasures,
creatures like you’ve never seen.
The very heart of the deep,
Of a world like this you’d never dream:
At the bottom of the sea…
The deep blue sea, the deep blue sea (je suis engloutie).
